About This Role

Our center is looking for Lead Teachers to join our teaching team.


We are looking for people who desire to work with children and families; are committed to a fast-paced work environment with new challenges and opportunities daily; someone who is enthusiastic about being a team player.


Our belief is that "There is no finish line to quality care and education."


What You'll Do

Some responsibilities are:

  • Lesson plan creation and implementation.
  • Use of positive guidance techniques.
  • Build and maintain parent/teacher relationships.
  • Evaluate, observe and develop each child's abilities.
  • Create a caring community where families feel welcome.

Requirements

Minimum education requirements:

  • Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field; OR
  • Bachelors degree in any field plus 2 courses in Early Childhood Education or related field; or be willing to complete these 2 courses within your first 6 months of employment (online course options); OR
  • Completion of 60 hours towards a degree in any field, including 30 hours in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Additional post-employment coursework may be required to work for certain positions.

Through the use of Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos, and The Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers, Kuhl Corner Campus meets and exceeds all of the learning objectives set forth in the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards.


We firmly believe that all children need the opportunity to enhance their sense of identity and to develop a positive self-image. With group care, children have the opportunity to interact with both peers and adults, learning to accept individual differences. With the opportunity to utilize self-expression, the ability to communicate with others, problem solve and make decisions we are able to encourage the development of social skills.
