JOB SUMMARY

The HRIS System Administrator supports administration and day-to-day troubleshooting for UKG, including UKG Pro and UKG Dimensions, with a focus on timekeeping, payroll, scheduling, and workforce management processes. This role responds to assigned tickets, partners with HR, Payroll, and IT, supports pay-period close activities, and helps maintain accurate documentation and issue resolution for businessโ€‘critical HR systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond to employee and manager tickets related to UKG timekeeping, scheduling, and payroll functionality.
  • Troubleshoot login issues, punch and timeโ€‘entry errors, schedule conflicts, and approval workflow problems.
  • Assist with routine system configuration changes, including pay rules, accrual codes, and schedules, under supervision.
  • Support payโ€‘period close activities by helping identify and resolve timecard exceptions.
  • Document recurring issues and contribute to an internal knowledge base.
  • Escalate complex configuration or integration issues to the senior UKG leader or other appropriate subject matter expert.
  • Help test system updates, patches, and new UKG releases before goโ€‘live.
  • Learn and support new technology, including Workday Time Tracking, following implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range $58,000 - $75,000 salary Pay varies based on experience, skills, and location.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education Required: Associate Degree
  • Education Preferred: Bachelorโ€™s Degree
  • Required Years/Type of Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a support role using a ticketing system
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a track record of resolving endโ€‘user issues effectively
  • Basic experience writing SQL queries and stored procedure
  • Basic knowledge of timekeeping and time tracking systems (e.g., UKG/Kronos/any system)
  • Basic knowledge of payroll processes and understanding of HRIS processes
  • Good experience in writing test cases and UAT support
  • Certificates/Licenses/Registrations or Professional Designations Required: None
  • Preferred: Any certification that helps improve or supports system/process efficiency
  • Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience using UKG Pro or UKG Dimensions, or legacy Kronos Workforce Central.
  • Familiarity with payroll cycles, FLSA basics, or labor scheduling rules.
  • Experience with a ticketing tool such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Desk.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Technical / Job Knowledge: Foundational understanding of HRIS, timekeeping, scheduling, payroll support, issue triage, payโ€‘period close, and handling sensitive employee data with discretion.
  • Computer / Systems Skills: Comfort using UKG Pro, UKG Dimensions, Workday Time Tracking, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ticketing tools.
  • ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, Kronos Workforce Central, ADP, and SQL are preferred or niceโ€‘toโ€‘have skills.
  • Communication / Leadership Skills: Strong customer service mindset; clear, patient communication; ability to collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT; and judgment to elevate complex issues appropriately.
  • Other Skills: Detailโ€‘oriented, organized, curious, and comfortable learning new software systems quickly while documenting recurring issues and contributing to knowledge resources.
