Investigation Diligence & Compliance (Specialist) - Associate
Kroll's North American Investigations, Diligence and Compliance - Specialist practice is seeking an Associate based in the U.S.
This is a wide-ranging role within the Financial Investigations team. The Associate will primarily assist with internal investigations and litigation support matters, and be required to help prepare proposals and workplans, conduct financial analysis, liaise closely with other investigative resources, prepare written client deliverables, perform quality control measures, and provide overall support for case completion.

RESPONSOBILITIES:
The Associate, Investigations Diligence and Compliance role is an entry-level position within our Financial Investigations Team, where you will be trained on basic financial investigative techniques required for the vast array of projects within Kroll. The ideal candidate will be curious, detail-oriented, organized, have excellent time management skills, and demonstrate clarity in written work product, work well within a team, and be driven by professional excellence and a commitment to the Kroll brand.
Associates are expected to:
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and workplans designed to understand and answer the clients' key questions and project objectives.
  • Support case managers and other project staff in:
    • identifying sources of evidence,
    • reviewing, understanding, performing analysis on, and drawing conclusions from all manner of financial records and relevant supporting documentation,
    • documenting carefully and accurately the results of such analysis,
    • and preparing deliverables for clients.
  • Master a suite of technological tools, understanding the strengths, as well as the appropriate uses and limitations of each.
  • Identify patterns and anomalies and interpret their meaning within a context.
  • Organize findings methodically to facilitate analysis and reporting.
  • Verify and corroborate pertinent and noteworthy findings.
  • Identify gaps and follow leads within parameters of objectives, timeframe, and budget.
  • Present accurate, relevant, and robust findings to clients.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Major GPA of 3.5.
  • U.S. citizenship, residency, and authorization to work within the U.S. is required due to the nature of work.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent foundational accounting skills, with the ability to apply core principles accurately and consistently across complex engagements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to assist with the analysis of large volumes of information and present oral and written summaries in a comprehensive and coherent manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain organized, well-structured, and QC-ready files, ensuring consistent documentation standards.
  • Ability to prioritize several projects and assignments on multiple topics while meeting tight deadlines and staying on budget.
  • Positive attitude with an inquisitive, solution-oriented mindset, consistently seeking to understand underlying issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Pursuit of or intention to pursue Certified Public Accountant (CPA-US), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) is preferred.
