Job description

Kroll's global Discovery & Analytics Solutions professionals within our Cyber & Data Resilience service line serve as trusted advisors, grounded in Kroll's longstanding expertise in risk, investigations, and complex problem solving. Our teams combine deep technical capabilities (eDiscovery, digital forensics, analytics) with globally experienced investigative professionals to deliver endtoend digital evidence and eDiscovery solutions across the Litigation, Investigations, Regulatory, and Compliance lifecycle.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager with deep eDiscovery expertise to join our U.S. team. This role is critical to supporting largescale, complex, and often multijurisdictional matters, ensuring the efficient, defensible, and highquality management of digital evidence.

The successful candidate will bring handson experience with Relativity (required) and demonstrate comfort operating in highly regulated environments with sophisticated clients.

DaytoDay Responsibilities

Effective project management, technical leadership, and defensibility are core to Kroll's eDiscovery practice. As a Senior Manager, you will lead eDiscovery engagements within the Discovery & Analytics Solutions team, working closely with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, and clients.

This role requires the ability to independently lead matters, guide teams through complex technical and workflow challenges, and contribute to client development and market growth. A strong understanding of structured and unstructured data, and how they intersect within litigation and investigation workflows, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage endtoend eDiscovery engagements, including collection, processing, hosting, review, analytics, and production.
  • Support complex litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters, including those involving crossborder data, while ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and data privacy requirements.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for technical, workflow, and defensibility issues on highstakes matters.
  • Leverage advanced Relativity functionality to design efficient workflows, customize review environments, and optimize data management and cost control.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent eDiscovery projects, ensuring timely, accurate, and highquality delivery.
  • Act as a primary client contact for eDiscovery matters, managing expectations and serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise eDiscovery professionals, providing guidance on technical execution, quality control, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Cyber, Forensics, Investigations, Analytics, and Compliance to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to business development, proposal support, and the expansion of existing client relationships.
  • Enhance Kroll's market presence through thought leadership, conference participation, and client engagement.
  • Stay current on developments in eDiscovery technology, U.S. discovery standards, privacy regulations, and industry best practices, implementing improvements where appropriate.

Essential Traits & Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to delivering highquality, defensible work with a clientcentric mindset.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant eDiscovery certifications (e.g., RCA, CEDS) preferred.
  • Experience: Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, or digital investigations, including leadership of complex matters.
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Relativity; strong understanding of data processing, analytics, review, and production workflows. Relativity Master certification is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, manage senior stakeholders, and operate independently under tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Client Management: Demonstrated experience managing sophisticated clients and serving as a trusted, solutionsoriented advisor.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with U.S. discovery obligations, data privacy considerations, and crossborder data challenges.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
