Job description

Kraft Tool Company is a manufacturer and distributor of quality concrete and construction hand tools for professional and homeowner use. Kraft Tool is principally located in Shawnee, Kansas. For over 40 years, Kraft Tool has been a trusted name in the hand tool industry.


The Maintenance Technician Manufacturing maintains and repairs machinery in the establishment. This includes trouble shooting and repairing utilizing methods of continuous improvement. The technician is also responsible for performing preventative maintenance and completing work orders.

Duties –

• Repairs, replaces, adjusts and aligns components of machinery equipment.

• Cleans and lubricates parts, equipment and machinery.

• Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs to manufacturing equipment as needed.

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical devices/systems

• Repairs and replaces defective parts.

• Service and repair plant facility equipment such as air compressors, heat exchangers

• Adjust and test machinery.

• Make repairs such as chains, sprockets, bearings, and belts. Rebuilds pneumatic cylinders, valves, pumps, gear boxes, and other drive train components. Stick and tig welding repair

• Other duties as assigned. Overtime, as assigned.

Requirements-

  • Must have 5 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, bend, stoop, lift, and stand for entire shift.
  • Must have experience with the following:
  • Electrical control – logic and troubleshooting, single and three phase power
  • AC/DC motor drives
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Multi-meter and amp probe skills
