COATI is looking for skilled and talented line cooks! COATI operates food service through our pods inside our eclectic and eventful space. Line cooks assist guests with placing their orders, making those items, and ensuring they are delivered to the guest fast! We are hiring! Become a part of our crew!

Role Introduction

Job duties include following recipes to the specifications of the Chef and Lead Prep Cook, dish washing, and maintaining the kitchen standard of cleanliness. Must have organizational skills, ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, and ability to function very well under pressure. We are a high volume space, so excellent teamwork is a must.

Position Details

Position: Line Cook

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Salary: $15.50/hour training wage; after training, $13/hour + tips (averages ~$19/hour)

Job Type: Part- or Full-Time

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our food
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients
  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner
  • Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that orders are completed quickly and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, as well as the work area, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
  • Assist in the development of specials, as well as the creation of prep lists and par levels
  • Continuously seek out ways to improve our dishes, processes, and customer experience

Qualifications

  • A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary industry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
