Job description

Koenig is currently searching for a qualified Class A CDL Truck Driver supporting our dealership and customers based out of the Richmond, IN location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned tasks according to the established schedule. If delays occur or additional work is identified, promptly communicate to develop a recovery plan.
  • Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently. Flag items needing service department attention in advance when possible (e.g., removing dual tires before shipment).
  • Secure all loads in full compliance with DOT regulations and KEI standards.
  • Maintain current forklift operator certification through KEI.
  • Keep all DOT-required documentation current for vehicles and personal licensing.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned truck and trailer; report any issues immediately to the designated subject matter expert (SME).
  • Plan efficient routes in advance, with special attention to height, weight, and width restrictions for over-dimensional loads; monitor restrictions closely during transit.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the departments administrators to secure necessary permits.
  • Uphold KEI standards for professional appearance at all times.
  • Accurately record time for all work performed.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers when contact is required.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of relevant transportation or heavy-haul driving experience required.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
  • Basic knowledge of operating equipment.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations; must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
