Job description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac / Acute Care

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Duration: 8 Weeks
Hours: 48 Hours/Week


Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to young adult, adult, and geriatric patients using the nursing process. This role focuses on cardiac and acute care, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through assessment, intervention, monitoring, and collaboration with the healthcare team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments as per policy.
  • Provide direct patient care and adjust care plans based on patient response.
  • Monitor and manage cardiac conditions and interventions.
  • Assist physicians with procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment and care plans.
  • Supervise and coordinate care provided by other healthcare staff.
  • Serve as a team leader and mentor (preceptor) for new staff.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital policies.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure availability of supplies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.

Required Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Active RN License (Required)
    • CPR Certification (Required)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
    • EKG Certification
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years RN experience (Required)
    • 5+ years preferred
    • Travel nursing experience required
