Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of our five-year transformation roadmap to optimize the Global Clinical Development operating model, increase organizational effectiveness, and enhance our ability to deliver the clinical portfolio at scale.
  • Develop and present business cases to Vaccine R&D Leadership and Executive Committee to support operational model changes, process simplification, and strategic investments.
  • Drive the digital strategy for the department by coordinating with functional leaders, Digital R&D, and cross-company digital teams to implement AI-powered tools, monitor progress, and foster cultural adoption across the organization.
  • Oversee budget and resource management deliverables and processes working closely with functional platform heads to ensure optimal resource allocation and coordination and working closely on our Hub strategy in India, Budapest and China.
  • Manage the departmental management office, including risk mitigation strategies, internal and regulatory audit readiness, training and onboarding programs, systems access, and communication strategy.
  • Lead a team of Strategic External Collaboration specialists to assess, implement, and manage high-impact partnerships with government agencies, healthcare organizations, and industry collaborators.
  • Develop and monitor departmental objectives and key results, track performance metrics, and implement initiatives to increase team engagement and effectiveness across a multicultural, global organization.

About You

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific, medical, or business field strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive business experience in global pharmaceutical, biotech, consulting, or related field
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Proven track record leading transformation initiatives in global, multicultural scientific or R&D settings
  • Demonstrated ability to build and present compelling business cases to executive leadership
  • Experience managing multicultural global teams, budgets, and resources across multiple geographies preferred
  • Familiarity with clinical development operations and digital R&D โ€” ability to credibly engage with scientific and technical stakeholders

  • Exceptional problem-solving capability โ€” comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity
  • Strong project and program management discipline
  • Ability to lead through influence in complex matrix organizations without direct authority

$232,500.00 - $335,833.33
