Job description
Come join the Tillamook Team, one of the fastest-growing dairy brands in the US, where we Play to Win to create over 200 dairy products in 7 different categories: cheese, ice cream, yogurt, sour cream, butter, cream cheese and frozen meals. Our Uncompromising Quality has led us to become the #1 Cheddar, #2 Cream Cheese and #3 Family Size Ice Cream brand, but we're not stopping there. We're loading up for our best years to come and want you to join us.
As a farmer-owned cooperative since 1909, we know that being Good Stewards for our stakeholders and doing a little extra always pays off. We're looking for team members with a One Team and Genuine Care mindset who are inspired to share the delight of the Tillamook brand with each other and others every day.
What you will do:
The Corporate Engineering Manager provides leadership and technical direction for enterprise-wide engineering initiatives. This role focuses on strategic alignment, capital planning, and standardization of engineering practices, while also managing the day-to-day execution of projects and document control processes across the organization.
Here's a day in the life:
- Strategic Planning & Governance: Develop and maintain corporate engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Strategic Planning & Governance: Support long-range capital planning and prioritize projects aligned with business objectives.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead full lifecycle delivery of large capital projects, including potential new manufacturing plant construction.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Define project delivery models (EPCM, design-build, CM-at-risk) and lead the bid, evaluation, and award process for engineering, construction, and OEM partners.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and negotiate major construction and equipment contracts, including GMP, EPC, AIA, and multi-million-dollar purchase agreements.
- Cross-Site Collaboration: Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical guidance across site engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Cross-Site Collaboration: Act as the enterprise subject matter leader for large capital program delivery, enabling consistent approaches to construction, commissioning, and major equipment procurement across all sites.
- Project Execution Leadership: Lead and coordinate engineering teams to execute approved projects on time and within budget. Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with corporate standards.
- Document Control & Governance: Oversee document control processes for engineering projects, ensuring accurate and timely updates to drawings, specifications, and compliance records. Maintain centralized documentation systems for consistency across sites.
- Team Management: Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance to team members supporting project execution and document control. Conduct regular check-ins to ensure accountability and progress.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Champion initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and leverage emerging technologies.
- Capital Project Leadership: Independently lead complex engineering and construction efforts, negotiate with contractors and vendors, and deliver major capital assets ready for safe, reliable startup.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
- Communicate effectively.
- Utilize a computer with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
