Job description

Position Title: HVAC Foreman
Reports To: HVAC Manager
Direct Reports: Apprentices

Weโ€™ve expanded our services to include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more!
Job Summary:
The HVAC Foreman will be responsible for the installation of HVAC systems, leading a team, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and company standards. This role involves performing system start-ups and testing while interpreting blueprints and technical manuals. The foreman will leverage diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring installations meet all relevant codes and regulations. Maintaining accurate installation records and providing quality customer service are essential aspects of the position. Adherence to safety protocols is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform system installation, start-ups and testing of all equipment per manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Lead and supervise helpers/apprentices to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site that meets code compliance and is completed on schedule.
  • Act as the on-site liaison between the management and customers, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate material needs and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Follow all company policies, including vehicle use and job site conduct.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid HVAC journeymans license (preferred).
  • EPA 608 Universal and NATE Certifications (preferred).
  • 2+ years of HVAC installation experience.
  • Proficiency in reading technical documents.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license; Ability to be insured under companyโ€™s vehicle insurance policy.

Physical Demands:
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance.
  • Prolonged standing and walking on various surfaces.
  • Frequent ladder use and work at heights.
  • Regular bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
  • Frequent use of hands for tools and precision work.
  • Good vision and hearing required; use of PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is mandatory.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

Safety Requirements:
  • Comply with OSHA safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
  • Report hazards and follow safe work practices.

Work Environment:
Indoors and outdoors in various settings, exposed to extreme weather, confined spaces, and high elevations.
  • Protective equipment is required in noisy, dusty, or hazardous environments.
  • Work may involve tight spaces and handling heavy tools.
  • Overtime, weekend, and emergency work may be required.
