Job description

Quoting & Inside Sales
  • Review and interpret customer RFQs, material take-offs, and equipment lists related to PPE, small tools, and consumables.
  • Translate refinery and oil & gas terminology into accurate product selections.
  • Identify missing details or suitable substitutions when necessary.
  • Build competitive, margin-conscious quotes aligned with company pricing strategy.
  • Respond to RFQs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate closely with outside sales and operations teams to align scope and pricing.
  • Ensure accuracy of SKUs, lead times, and product specifications prior to quote submission.
  • Maintain quote tracking and follow-up for conversion.
Procurement / Buying Responsibilities
  • Source products from approved vendors and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate alternate manufacturers when necessary to maintain competitiveness.
  • Monitor lead times and inventory availability.
  • Issue purchase orders and manage order confirmations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and operations to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Track cost changes and maintain updated pricing in ERP system.
Industry Knowledge Requirements
  • Refinery / turnaround terminology
  • Confined space equipment

  • FR clothing standards
  • Respiratory protection (NIOSH ratings, cartridge types)
