Job description

Kitting Specialist

This role is responsible for assembling kits of components and materials required for production or shipment. This role ensures that all items are accurately picked, organized, and packaged according to specifications, supporting efficient operations and timely delivery.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Pick and organize components based on Bill of Materials (BOM) or work orders
  • Assemble kits with precision, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Label and package kits for production or customer delivery
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with 5S standards
  • Communicate with inventory, shipping, and production teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Perform quality checks to ensure kit integrity and compliance standards
  • Use hand tools and basic equipment to prepare or modify kit contents
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment
  • Document kitting activities and report issues to supervisors
  • All other duties assigned

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, BOMs, and instructions
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Team oriented with good communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain a safe working environment
  • Willingness to take instructions and learn new procedures and products
Education And Experience (Required Levels)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Six months experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred
