JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Updated)

  • Assume culinary duties during the shift
  • Engage in proactive measures to assist the Executive Chef
  • Supervises, trains, and monitors culinarystaff
  • Directs and assigns employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards
  • Oversee culinary operations in absence of the Executive Chef
  • Performs department opening and/or closing duties
  • Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times
  • Immediately and respectfully resolves culinary guestrequests
  • Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of High School education
  • Minimum of two (2) years in restaurant/culinary experience leading shifts
  • Alcohol awareness certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally
  • Team player
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Knowledge of local alcohol serving practices and standards
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
