About the Opportunity

Famous Dave's in Taylor, MI is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager with strong back-of-house expertise to help lead daily operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is just as comfortable running the kitchen as overseeing the full restaurant — someone who understands food execution, BOH systems, and the operational rigor it takes to deliver consistent quality at a high-volume, full-service concept.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily back-of-house operations including food preparation, kitchen workflow, and line execution
  • Lead, train, and develop kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality, speed, and presentation standards
  • Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control BOH expenses
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations at all times
  • Support front-of-house operations as needed, including staffing, scheduling, and guest service standards
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of both BOH and FOH team members
  • Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and address operational issues promptly
  • Collaborate with restaurant leadership on labor management, P&L performance, and overall restaurant goals
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven restaurant management experience with significant back-of-house/kitchen leadership background
  • Strong understanding of food cost control, kitchen operations, and BOH systems
  • Experience training and developing kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health department standards
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High-volume, full-service restaurant experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $55,000–$65,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Opportunities for growth within the organization

This is a great opportunity for a kitchen-savvy leader who wants to step into a well-rounded management role with a respected, high-energy restaurant brand.
