Sparrow Coffee Kitchen Manager (Full Time)Summary of Position: The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all Cafe Kitchen Operations. This role ensures adherence to food quality and sanitation standards and supports the development and training of the Kitchen team. The Kitchen Manager reports jointly to the General Manager and Culinary Director, working closely with them to maintain high standards and efficient operations.Responsibilities:Team Management and Training: Assist the General Manager in recruiting, training, and developing kitchen staff.‍Ordering and Inventory Management: Manage food inventory, place orders with food vendors and the Sparrow Kitchen, and minimize waste. Maintain accurate pars and waste logs and implement improvements for operational efficiency.Culinary Operations: Organize and ensure proper execution of daily baking and prep lists. Oversee line operations to ensure smooth and efficient production of all orders. Product Quality and Safety: Collaborate with the Culinary Director to ensure high standards for food preparation, presentation, and safety. Enforce strict sanitation practices and adhere to food safety regulations to provide safe and excellent products.Maintenance: Support the General Manager and Executive Chef in addressing and resolving kitchen maintenance issues.Team Support: Provide assistance to store operations as necessary, including but not limited to proficiency of cashier functions, pastry, prep, expo, and dish.Requirements:2+ years of experience in kitchen operationsFamiliarity with health and safety standards specific to a fast-casual kitchen & bakery environment.Proficiency in using Culinary tools and equipment safely and effectively.Strong ability to communicate clearly with team members and department leaders.Ability to remain calm, positive, and effective under pressure, addressing and resolving issues as they arise.Capability to lift 25+ pounds, stand for extended periods, climb laddersCulinary training or certification is a plusFood Handler's Certification (obtain or provide upon hire).
