Now Hiring: Front of House Shift Manager
The Bay Bar & Grille | Bozeman, MT

We’re back—and better than ever.
After an extensive remodel, The Bay Bar & Grille has reopened its doors, continuing a 38-year legacy as a locally owned Bozeman favorite. We believe in empowering our team, cutting out corporate red tape, and creating a workplace built on respect, autonomy, and great food.
We’re looking for a Front of House Shift Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and knows how to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Working weekends and closing shifts are required!
What You’ll Do

  • Act as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts
  • Open/close the restaurant and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Lead and support the front-of-house team across all positions
  • Deliver top-tier guest service—even during high-volume shifts
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and confidence
  • Train, coach, and motivate team members
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards
  • Handle cash, POS systems, and daily reporting accurately
What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of leadership experience
  • 2+ years of front-of-house experience (serving, hosting, bartending)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends required)
  • POS and cash-handling experience
Schedule & Environment

  • 3–5 Manager-on-Duty shifts per week
  • Additional FOH shifts to maintain full-time hours
  • Mostly evenings and closing shifts (including weekends)
  • Active role: standing, walking, lifting, and working with kitchen equipment

  • $23–$25/hour (DOE)
