Join the Jalapeno Tree family and become a part of the Pepper Posse! At the Jalapeno Tree, we are passionate about delivering Crazy Good Mexican Food in a family-friendly atmosphere. We are seeking energetic, motivated individuals who are dedicated to exceptional guest experiences, high-quality ingredients, and exemplary service. As a line/prep cook, you will ensure all food is prepared and cooked to order and meets quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble ingredients according to recipes and specifications. This includes chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces and dressings.
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the assigned station.
  • Utilize a variety of cooking techniques, including grilling, sauteing, frying, and baking, to prepare dishes efficiently.
  • Manage ingredients, including proper storage and handling, to maintain freshness and minimize waste. Follow portion control guidelines.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes. Address and correct any issues promptly.
  • Assist with ordering and receiving supplies as needed. Report any shortages or equipment issues to the kitchen manager.
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation. Communicate effectively with the team to manage orders and address any concerns.
