Are you a culinary professional with a passion for leading high-energy kitchens and delivering exceptional guest experiences? The Sicilian Butcher, a chef-driven, modern-casual restaurant, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team!

As the second-in-command of our kitchen, you’ll work closely with our Kitchen Manager to maintain high standards in food preparation, safety, and team leadership. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for Italian-inspired cuisine.

Why Join Us?

At The Sicilian Butcher, we’re redefining the dining experience through bold flavors, elevated hospitality, and a commitment to scratch-made cooking. Built on strong leadership and culinary craftsmanship, our restaurants are driven by teams who take pride in quality, consistency, and creating memorable guest experiences. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • A fun, collaborative environment where teamwork is key.
  • A chef-driven concept committed to culinary creativity and excellence.
  • Opportunities for career growth within a rapidly expanding restaurant group.
  • Competitive salary and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • A team that values work-life balance and cares about its people.

A Day in the Life:

As our Assistant Kitchen Manager, you’ll:

  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in planning and directing food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Ensure recipes are followed with precision to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Work closely with and train cooks and kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor staff training processes and regularly review progress and goals with trainers.
  • Take a leadership role in quality control, food safety, and compliance with restaurant safety guidelines.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities to maintain a productive and clean workspace.
  • Oversee food inventory, ordering, and storage to control costs and minimize waste.
  • Maintain and uphold the cleanliness and safety standards of all back-of-house facilities and equipment.
  • Check and enforce proper food holding and refrigeration temperature logs.
  • Step in to manage kitchen operations when the Kitchen Manager is unavailable.
  • Collaborate with upper management to achieve operational goals and drive guest satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of high-volume, full-service restaurant management experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or culinary school certification preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Basic experience with Microsoft Suite and proficiency in kitchen operations.
  • Attributes: A positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to excellence.
  • Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and able to meet the physical demands of the role.

Who we are:

The Sicilian Butcher is a modern-casual dining concept built on the rich culinary traditions of Sicily, reimagined for today’s guest. Known for our craft meatballs, scratch-made pastas, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere, we bring together old-world flavors and contemporary creativity in every dish we serve.

Our restaurants are designed around family-style hospitality—warm, welcoming, and full of energy—where quality ingredients and authentic recipes are at the heart of everything we do. As a growing concept, we’re committed to developing our team, expanding our footprint, and continuing to deliver exceptional experiences that turn first-time visitors into lifelong guests.
