Job Description

We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom

  • Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes

  • Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift

  • Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner

  • Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine

  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas

  • Monitor and empty trash cans

  • Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures

  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment

  • Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds

  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

  • Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
