Job description

Kitchen & Bath Project Coordinator / Designer

RiverStone Cabinets โ€“ Design. Supply. Install.

Part-Time to Start | Full-Time Opportunity | Sales & Commission Potential

RiverStone Cabinets is a growing kitchen and bath cabinetry company serving Central and Eastern North Carolina. Weโ€™re looking for a highly organized, adaptable, and motivated person who wants the opportunity to grow along with our company.

This is not just an administrative position and not a traditional desk job. Weโ€™re looking for someone who can help coordinate projects, work directly with customers and vendors, assist with kitchen design and selections, visit job sites, and represent RiverStone in the community.

The position can start part-time and grow into full-time. However, weโ€™re open to starting the right person full-time immediately if they have significant kitchen & bath experience, can design and sell projects, generate new business, or bring an existing customer/contractor network or book of business.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Schedule and coordinate cabinet installers and installation dates.
  • Schedule countertop templates and installations with our countertop vendors.
  • Coordinate and receive cabinet, countertop, and material deliveries at RiverStone and customer job sites.
  • Communicate with customers, installers, vendors, contractors, and suppliers to keep projects moving.
  • Meet with customers and assist with cabinet, countertop, hardware, and other project selections.
  • Assist with kitchen and bath design, layouts, measurements, and product specifications.
  • Learn or utilize 2020 Design software to create kitchen and bath designs and presentations.
  • Visit job sites to check project progress, verify details, and help resolve issues.
  • Assist with minor cabinet adjustments and punch-list work.
  • Represent RiverStone at networking and industry events.
  • Develop relationships with remodelers, builders, contractors, designers, real estate professionals, and other potential referral partners.
  • Assist with social media posts and basic marketing activities.
  • Maintain project schedules, customer information, and internal documentation.
  • Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities as needed.

If you have kitchen & bath sales/design experience, we want to hear from you.

An experienced candidate may have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and manage their own customer and contractor accounts.
  • Design, quote, and sell kitchen and bath projects.
  • Generate new business through networking and existing relationships.
  • Manage projects from initial consultation through installation.
  • Build a customer and contractor base within RiverStone.
  • Bring an existing book of business or established builder/remodeler relationships.
  • Earn additional compensation through sales commissions and performance incentives.

A proven kitchen & bath salesperson/designer capable of generating business may qualify for a full-time base salary plus commission opportunity from the beginning.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

Above all, weโ€™re looking for the right person.

You should be:

  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through.
  • Adaptable and comfortable wearing several hats.
  • A great communicator.
  • Professional and personable with customers.
  • Comfortable communicating with contractors, installers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Detail-oriented and good at solving problems.
  • Comfortable working both in an office and on active job sites.
  • Comfortable with technology and learning new software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiar with social media and capable of creating basic business posts.

Experience in any of these areas is a major plus:

  • Kitchen & bath design
  • Cabinet sales
  • Cabinetry or residential remodeling
  • 2020 Design software
  • Cabinet installation or punch work
  • Field measuring
  • Reading cabinet plans and elevations
  • Countertop fabrication/installation processes
  • Project coordination or project management
  • Builder and remodeler relationships
  • Outside sales or business development
  • QuickBooks
  • Social media or small-business marketing

Donโ€™t check every box?

If youโ€™re organized, great with people, mechanically inclined, comfortable learning new things, and genuinely interested in the kitchen & bath industry, weโ€™d still like to hear from you. Weโ€™re willing to train the right person.

Schedule & Compensation

This position is expected to start part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time as responsibilities and the company grow.

Starting compensation: $22โ€“$30/hour, depending on experience and capabilities.

For an experienced kitchen & bath salesperson/designer with an established customer or contractor network, a full-time base salary + commission package can be structured from the beginning.

RiverStone is a growing small business, so weโ€™re looking for someone who sees that as an opportunity.

Some days may involve meeting customers and working on designs. Other days might include coordinating installers, receiving a cabinet delivery, visiting a job site, handling a punch-list item, posting to social media, or attending a networking event.

Weโ€™re looking for someone who sees something that needs to be done and thinks:

โ€œI can handle that.โ€

If youโ€™re organized, resourceful, good with people, willing to learn, and excited about helping build a growing kitchen & bath company, weโ€™d like to meet you.
