Purpose
The kitchen associate is responsible for all aspects of the kitchen and various processes associated with cannabis product development. The kitchen associate provides the daily care and focused attention necessary to process and package clean, high-quality medicine.
The main responsibilities include all aspects of the daily care of medicine from cooking to packaging; monitoring weights and measurements; presentation; and maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the kitchen area.
Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in prepping, processing, and packaging finished medicine
  • Keep accurate records on all medicine using company system and protocols
  • Record and track accurate weights and measurements of medicine throughout the processing and packaging procedures using company systems and protocols
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment inside the kitchen area
  • Inspect medicine for defects using a variety of magnification tools
  • Calibrate, operate, clean and store packaging equipment
  • Provide consistent oversight of kitchen procedures, ensuring standardized requirements and accuracy
  • Master various techniques for cannabis cooking and infusion
  • Knowledge of cooking and baking techniques
  • Maintain quality control measures to ensure a high-quality product
  • Ensure compliance with State regulations and testing requirements
  • Ensure accurate weighing and inventory
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of cannabis medical products (oils, tinctures, topicals, concentrates, edibles etc.)
  • Responsible for having the basic knowledge of all daily operations in an edible and cannabis infused kitchen. Assisting in the preparing food items and other culinary activities as directed by the kitchen manager. Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and operating all equipment safely in its intended manner.
  • Packaging: Operating and maintaining kitchen and packaging systems/equipment: monitoring, calibrating, running, and troubleshooting systems; stocking and handling production inputs and supplies; sanitizing and cleaning production areas, kitchen workspaces and tools.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Passion for and knowledgeable about Cannabis
  • Passion for cannabis Culture
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in horticulture, botany, culinary arts, or related field
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work and lead cross functional teams
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to clearly outline objectives, and create, access and evaluate timelines
  • Consistently delivers high-quality outputs with strong attention to detail.
  • Works effectively under tight deadlines, respond to changing priorities and coordinate multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Work Environment:
