Kingsway is currently seeking a Campus Porter....


Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the corridors, common areas, and medical equipment in a senior living facility. This role is essential to ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents and staff while supporting the overall operations of the housekeeping department. 


Key Responsibilities:

• Disinfection of medical equipment, including wheelchairs, lifts, and shower chairs.

• Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in designated locations.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the facilities, including carpet extraction, stripping and waxing floors, and grout care.

• Dispose of garbage and recycling in a timely and sanitary manner, following facility protocols.

• Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning windows, to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

• Monitor supplies and notify supervisors of low stock or equipment issues.

• Assist with other housekeeping department duties as requested by supervisors.

• Adhere to environmental services safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.

• Work collaboratively with department staff to ensure efficient operations during quiet hours and special events

Requirements:

 Qualifications:


  • Equipment Sanitation including wheelchairs and medical equipment
  • Previous experience in environmental services is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow cleaning protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Hours: Mon - Fri 5am-1pm
