Job description

Job Summary:
The Streaming Specialist is responsible for ensuring Midco Sports Plus delivers a reliable, high-quality streaming experience for fans, schools, production partners, and subscribers. This role manages daily streaming operations from event scheduling through archive management, helping make local and regional sports content accessible when and where audiences expect it. The Streaming & Digital Specialist serves as a key connection point between content producers, technology partners, and Customer Service to resolve issues, improve workflows, and support a seamless subscriber experience. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact the growth and quality of Midco's digital sports platform while working in a fast-paced, evolving streaming environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational execution for Midco Sports Plus.
  • Ensure games are scheduled correctly, connections are confirmed, and archives are created and maintained.
  • Serve as the direct operational contact for school-based production partners and other content delivery entities.
  • Work with scheduling and technical teams to maximize efficiency within platform workflows.
  • Coordinate closely with Customer Service on subscription and user support issues.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of new schools, conferences, producers.
  • Acquire working knowledge of data provided by Tech Partner(s) and be able to identify trends in viewership, subscriptions and how our customers are utilizing features that are important to the user experience.
  • Collaborate with Streaming Operations Sr. Manager to identify pain points in the daily workflow for Producers and in the customer experience and provide solutions.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and a high volume of responsibilities and projects (from evaluation to production through delivery) and courage to take educated risks while thinking outside the box and always responding in a timely manner.
  • Model Midco's mission, vision, values, ethos, and Leadership Success Drivers, and inspire others to do the same.
  • Ensure customer privacy by adhering to Midco's privacy guidelines while actively following Midco policies and procedures.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance as required by the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Highschool Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital broadcast technology, live streaming, or production environment.
  • Proven understanding of streaming platforms, encoding systems, and broadcast workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in media students, marketing, education or related field.

The hiring range for this position is $25.50-$29.50. The actual base salary offered will be determined based on multiple factors including internal equity, location, and the individual's job-related knowledge, skills and experience. This position is hourly and may be eligible for additional compensation such as overtime.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and/or individual performance.
Work Environment:
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands
  • Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.

Physical Demands:
  • May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, etc.).
  • Ability to read detailed information on screens, dashboards, and printed materials; may require prolonged screen time.

  • Attention to detail - maintain accuracy when scheduling games, confirming connections, managing archives, and monitoring platform workflows to ensure streaming content is delivered correctly and on time.
  • Sound judgment - use problem-solving and sound judgment to identify technical, operational, or customer experience issues, coordinate with internal teams and technology partners, and support timely resolution.
  • Manage priorities - prioritize and shift focus quickly in a fast-paced live streaming environment while balancing scheduling needs, partner communication, subscriber support, workflow improvements, and multiple concurrent projects.
