Job description

Sunset West, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation (NASDAQ: HOFT), is currently recruiting for a Cushion Stuffer to work in our Vista, CA location. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods, leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture, and outdoor furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.
We are looking for a dependable individual with great attention to detail to join our Production team as a cushion stuff associate. This candidate will maintain our cushion area and work independently to complete the following duties:
  • Sort cushions by size and schedule.
  • Determine the type of filler for each cushion.
  • Use order picker forklift to pull cushions and other materials needed.
  • Stuff and bag cushions both by hand and using a vacuum.
  • Stuff cushions in a timely manner while still meeting quality expectations.
  • Locate missing cushions for order completion.
  • Box and pack products for shipment.
  • Receive and put away materials
  • Use handheld scanner to process completed orders.
Candidates that will be a great fit will:
  • Enjoy fast paced and independent work.
  • Be able to stand for 8 hours and move quickly from one department to another.
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm. Overtime opportunities.
Pay Range: $18.00-19.00 per hour with potential to earn production bonus.
