Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.00 Hourly

Position Overview

The Millennia Commercial Group is looking for experienced Security Officers to join our team at the iconic Key Center in Downtown Cleveland. This role is vital to the support of our residents, guest, and property as we strive to provide the highest quality of service to this Critical Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Tenant Experience

  • Provide white-glove customer service to tenants, guests, vendors, and executive clientele

  • Serve as the first point of contact for lobby inquiries and visitor assistance

  • Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

  • De-escalate conflicts with tact, diplomacy, and customer service

  • Support building events and VIP visits with discretion and professionalism

Access Control & Security Technology

  • Operate and monitor electronic access control systems

  • Issue, activate, deactivate, and troubleshoot access credentials

  • Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond appropriately

  • Utilize visitor management platforms for registration and badge printing

Reporting & Communication

  • Generate detailed, accurate, and professional incident reports

  • Communicate effectively via email/reports/radio/phone with tenants, property management, and leadership

  • Document security events, maintenance issues, and policy violations clearly and objectively

  • Maintain shift logs and digital records in accordance with company standards

Policy Enforcement & Risk Mitigation

  • Respectfully and consistently enforce all building policies and procedures

  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the property

  • Identify and report safety hazards or suspicious activity

  • Respond to emergencies in accordance with established protocols

  • Coordinate with local emergency services when required

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Conduct routine patrols throughout multi-level commercial property and surrounding campus

  • Ability to respond quickly to incidents when necessary

  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a residential setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment

  • Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects

  • Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to work alongside various levels of the organization

  • Work assigned overtime as needed to meet the service levels of the facility up to an additional four (4) for a maximum of a twelve (12) hour shift– Management will provide as much advanced notice as possible

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least (1) years of security, military, safety or customer service experience in a fast- paced environment working for an in-house, contracted security company, and/or guest services position

  • The ability to obtain or have already successfully completed AED/CPR/First Aid Certification

  • Experience in Class A commercial, corporate, or high-end property security preferred

  • Strong customer service background (hospitality or corporate environment a plus)

  • Proficiency with Access control platforms, CCTV system, Microsoft Suite, Mobile Security and Reporting applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making ability

  • Professional appearance and demeanor
