Job description

Key Account Support Representative

Savannah Distributing Company is seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Key Account Support Representative to support our sales team and key customers in the Atlanta market.

This is a front-of-the-house, customer-facing position designed to strengthen service across our territories. The Key Account Support Representative does not manage an assigned account territory or directly call on a regular book of business. Instead, this person works under the direction of a District Manager and provides flexible support wherever it is most needed.

The position operates from our Atlanta, Georgia office and is primarily focused on accounts located inside the Perimeter, particularly Atlanta and Decatur.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in beverage sales. Distributor experience is not required. The position offers hands-on experience with our customers, products, Sales Representatives, and account-management processes. Both previous employees in this position have earned promotions within Savannah Distributing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide temporary territory coverage when Sales Representatives are on vacation, out of the office, or otherwise unavailable.
  • Support key accounts with merchandising, product organization, display execution, inventory checks, and other service needs.
  • Assist with large orders, including organizing and merchandising products after delivery.
  • Help Sales Representatives complete time-sensitive account tasks and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, and requests professionally and promptly.
  • Communicate customer needs, sales opportunities, competitive activity, inventory concerns, and follow-up items to the appropriate Sales Representative and District Manager.
  • Assist with new product placements, resets, seasonal programs, supplier initiatives, displays, and special events.
  • Visit a variety of on-premise and retail accounts throughout the Atlanta and Decatur markets.
  • Maintain accurate notes and communicate completed work clearly through Savannah Distributing's reporting tools.
  • Represent Savannah Distributing professionally when working with customers, suppliers, and fellow employees.
  • Perform other customer-service, merchandising, and sales-support duties assigned by the District Manager.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Key Account Support Representative is flexible, responsive, and comfortable stepping into different situations. They understand that each account and territory may have different needs, and they can quickly determine how to be most helpful.

The right person will build trust with customers and Sales Representatives by following through on commitments, communicating clearly, solving problems, and completing work with care.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage changing daily priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently while taking direction from a District Manager.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned Atlanta market and work in a variety of customer environments.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers, Sales Representatives, District Managers, suppliers, delivery personnel, and other team members.
  • Ability to learn product information and understand the needs of both retail and on-premise beverage accounts.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone and company technology to review assignments, document account activity, and communicate follow-up needs.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and merchandise beverage products and related materials.
  • Beverage distribution experience is helpful but not required. Candidates with hospitality, retail, merchandising, sales-support, or customer-service experience are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

This is a full-time, first-shift position. Most work will take place during daytime business hours, with occasional early mornings and early evenings based on customer needs, territory coverage, large orders, special events, and sales programs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate takes initiative, pays attention to detail, and genuinely enjoys helping customers and coworkers. They are willing to handle both highly visible key-account projects and routine support work with the same level of professionalism.

They should be interested in learning how Savannah Distributing's sales organization operates and motivated to grow into positions with greater responsibility.

Compensation and Benefits

Savannah Distributing offers:

  • Competitive pay
  • Health insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability)
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Competitive paid time off
  • Hands-on beverage-industry training and experience
  • Opportunities for professional development and advancement within the company

Why Join Savannah Distributing?

The Key Account Support Representative gains broad exposure to customers, territories, products, suppliers, and sales operations. Because the position works across multiple areas of the business, it provides a strong foundation for advancement within Savannah Distributing.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn the beverage business, make an immediate contribution, and build toward a long-term career with the company.

Savannah Distributing Company is an equal opportunity employer.
