Job description

We're seeking an exceptional CGI Creative Director to join Amazon's Devices Brand Studio and help shape the visual future of our entire product portfolio. This role sits at a unique intersection: you'll be both a vision setter and refining the aesthetic direction of our CGI work and a hands-on artist executing the conceptual renders and key art that set the standard for our production teams. While you'll create work directly, a significant portion of your role will involve directing teams through providing highly specific feedback, conducting working sessions with artists, and guiding stakeholders through the creative process.

You'll operate across the complete CGI pipeline, from initial concepting through pre-production, production, and post-production. Unlike traditional CGI production roles, you'll approach every project from both a brand perspective and a customer perspective, discovering how these viewpoints can more effectively reinforce and elevate each other. The environment is fast-paced and high-volume, where rapid prototyping and iteration are essential.
Working directly with our internal and external teams, you'll help define and evolve Amazon's distinctive CGI visual language across every customer touchpoint

Your work will span from early conceptual exploration to polished key art, creating the foundational pieces that guide our teams as they bring our product stories to life. This is a deeply collaborative role in which you'll partner with other Creative Directors and stakeholders across the organization to ensure visual consistency and innovation, work closely with our lead CGI Creative Director to push technical and creative boundaries, and collaborate with external vendor teams who execute the final production work. Your work will flow into internal creative playbooks, design documentation, and strategic presentations, ultimately shaping the customer-facing work that defines how millions of people first experience Amazon Devices.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Creative Directors and other stakeholders to conceptualize and execute photorealistic product renderings on extremely fast turnaround timelines in a high-volume environment
- Prototype and rapidly iterate CGI concepts, maintaining exceptional quality standards while moving at speed
- Execute on-the-spot creative changes and renderings for live keynote presentations at in-person launch events
- Leverage and share AI tools for image-making, staying at the forefront of generative image and video technology
- Design compelling presentation decks that successfully articulate CGI concepts to both creative and non-creative stakeholders
- Iterate and version concepts fluidly as product designs and marketing strategies evolve
- Work directly with industrial designers to translate CAD files, STP files, CMF specifications, and artwork documents into stunning visual executions
- Create foundational key art and conceptual renders that guide internal and external production teams
- Workshop new-to-world product lines with conceptual renderings that visualize products before they exist
- Bring visual storytelling expertise and photography principles (lighting, composition, camera) to every rendering
- Ensure consistency and excellence across diverse device categories while adapting to unique product requirements
About the team
The creative organization thrives on a singular, bold purpose: to craft work that isn't just exceptional, but world-class-a benchmark for excellence

We are relentless in this pursuit, especially when the odds are stacked against us.
Our foundation is a commitment to craft and a dedication to ensuring every piece of creative work embodies a consistent, breathtaking aesthetic quality. We don't meet expectations; we exist to define them. Details aren't just details-they're the difference between good and great.
We obsess over these nuances with passion and precision

While this pursuit is challenging at Amazon, we remain relentless alongside our partners and collaborators in bringing an elevated sense of taste to every detail. We do this because we know that excellence demands courage, resilience, and an unrelenting commitment to vision.
Our mission is clear: to inspire our customers by revealing the magic, love, and thoughtful invention infused into every product signed, Amazon Devices and Services.
