Job description

Account Executive III
Remote (Florida-Based) | $70-80,000 Base plus Commission | Full-Time | Up to 30% Travel
Do you thrive on the hunt -- opening doors, winning new logos, and building a market from the ground up?
KCI Telecommunications is hiring a driven Account Executive III to increase our presence in the telecom and datacom market. This is a new business development role - you will spend the majority of your time prospecting, qualifying, and closing new clients. If you are a hunter who loves the challenge of building a pipeline from scratch and turning cold prospects into long-term revenue, this role was built for you.
Who is KCI?
KCI is a professional services firm serving the telecom, datacom, and data center industries across three divisions: our Resource Management Group (RMG) provides workforce solutions including recruiting, staffing, travel technicians, and training; our Engineering division delivers network engineering and managed services for the Carrier and Enterprise Markets; and our Installation team handles low voltage cable and fiber installation projects. This role is primarily focused on growing RMG's client base with the expectation that you will introduce and position the full KCI portfolio wherever the opportunity exists.
What You'll Do
You will own new business development across your Florida territory -- from first outreach to signed contract. Day to day, that means:
• Prospecting and building a pipeline of new clients in the telecom, datacom, and data center space
• Identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities through cold outreach, referrals, and industry networking
• Developing and delivering compelling proposals and presentations tailored to each prospect's needs
• Negotiating contracts and securing favorable terms that drive profitable, long-term relationships
• Collaborating with operations and technical teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for new clients
• Tracking market trends, competitor activity, and prospect intelligence to sharpen your approach and inform leadership
• Managing your pipeline and activity in CRM with discipline and accuracy
What We're Looking For
• 3+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of winning new business -- not just managing accounts
• Experience selling into telecom, datacom, and low voltage contractor markets
• Based in Florida, with deep familiarity in the Southeast regional market
• A true hunter mentality -- self-motivated, persistent, and energized by building something new
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Tech-savvy with CRM proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new tools
• Willingness to travel to prospect and client sites up to 30% of the time
Why KCI?
• Untapped territory -- real greenfield opportunity in a growing Florida market
• Competitive base salary: $70,000 base plus Commission
• Fully remote with the flexibility to work where you are most effective
• A supportive leadership team that gets out of your way and lets you sell
• Experienced operations and technical teams behind you so you can stay focused on closing
Ready to Build Something?
If you are a relentless prospector who knows how to open doors and close deals, we want to hear from you - apply today!
