Job description

Katsiroubas Produce is a family-owned distributor of produce and specialty foods serving the Boston area for over 100 years. We are looking for dependable, hardworking Warehouse Associates to help keep our operation running efficiently while ensuring our customers receive high-quality products.

Spanish/English bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and prepare customer orders accurately.
  • Receive, unload, and stock incoming products.
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO and FEFO practices.
  • Perform inventory counts and report discrepancies.
  • Inspect products for quality and freshness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
  • Follow all food safety, quality, and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment, especially in produce handling, is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting, standing, and walking for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Knowledge of basic inventory and stock management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training may be provided).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, bilingual in Spanish & English preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments.
