POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physical Security Technology Manager is responsible for administering and optimizing enterprise security technology platforms, including Johnson Controls ExacqVision CCTV systems, Salto Systems electronic access control, and Tyco Kantech callboxes. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for these systems, ensuring reliable performance, configuration standards, and lifecycle management across multiple locations. The position provides technical guidance to project teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders on system design, installation standards, and best practices while supporting IT and security teams with troubleshooting, incident response, and continuous system improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Administers and maintains enterprise security technology platforms, including Johnson Controls ExacqVision CCTV systems, Salto Systems electronic access control, and Tyco Kantech callbox technologies, ensuring system reliability and integrity.
  2. Serves as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for CCTV, access control, and callbox technologies, providing technical expertise, troubleshooting support, and best-practice guidance.
  3. Establishes and maintains system configuration standards to ensure consistent deployment, performance, and security across all locations.
  4. Provides technical guidance to project managers, integrators, and operational teams on system design, hardware specifications, approved configurations, and installation procedures.
  5. Partners with executive, regional, and site stakeholders to ensure security technology solutions align with organizational standards, operational needs, and compliance requirements.
  6. Collaborates with vendors and technology integrators to support system implementations, maintain platform performance, and ensure alignment with established standards and the future technology roadmap.
  7. Supports IT and Security Operations Center (SOC) teams in understanding, operating, and optimizing security technology platforms.
  8. Assists with troubleshooting and resolving system issues, including providing escalation support for complex or high-impact incidents.
  9. Maintains and updates security technology documentation, including system standards, procedures, configuration guidelines, and training materials.
  10. Participates in system lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
  11. Supports security technology improvement initiatives, including compliance reviews, system audits, and evaluation of new or emerging technologies.
  12. Other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Security, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPTED certification preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience administering Johnson Controls ExacqVision, including system configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Three to five years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting electronic access control systems, including Salto Systems and Tyco Kantech hardware such as readers, locks, panels, callboxes, and cabling.
  • Experience supporting security operations across multiple, geographically dispersed locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Salto Systems, Tyco Kantech, or comparable enterprise access control systems.
