Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to enhance patient development.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure seamless care coordination, sharing insights and progress to optimize patient outcomes.
• Manage crisis situations by providing immediate support in mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
• Educate patients about the interconnection between their mental health and physical wellness, fostering self-management of their conditions.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice to ensure confidentiality.
• Engage actively in team collaborations, case discussions, and interdisciplinary care planning sessions to foster a collective understanding of patient needs.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in integrated mental health care to continually improve therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily serve individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges alongside co-occurring medical conditions, such as autoimmune disorders, substance use disorders, and chronic pain issues. This multifaceted client focus requires a nuanced understanding of both psychological and physiological aspects of health, empowering our team to provide holistic care that addresses the entirety of a patient's health profile.

Qualifications

• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is required.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in managing mental health needs among clients with concurrent medical situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Adherence to professional boundaries and ethical guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications essential for clinical documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits
