As a Senior Physical Therapist, your core responsibilities will include:

• Directing and implementing tailored physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function.
• Leading and supervising physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to patient-care plans and delivery of quality service.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patient functional capacities through diagnostic tests and assessments.
• Assessing the home environment and making recommendations to enhance patient safety and independence.
• Administering manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and physical agents such as traction and massage.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to continuously review and update treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Preparing detailed clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with industry regulations.
• Educating patients and families on the use and care of physical therapy devices, as well as the importance of continued therapy post-discharge.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to strategize and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintaining compliance with all healthcare regulations and best practices in rehabilitation.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license for Physical Therapy (DPT) in good standing.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in physical therapy, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to adapt to team dynamics while leading patient care initiatives.
