In this role, you'll work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team, delivering compassionate respiratory care to medically complex children and young adults. This is your chance to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, while promoting wellness, empowerment, and excellence in care.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with Respiratory Therapists, Pulmonologists, and a supportive care team to ensure individualized care plans are implemented seamlessly.
  • Be an advocate for resident engagement in enriching activities, while providing care that keeps them safe and supported.
  • Model excellence by upholding Core Values of Compassion, Wellness, Excellence, and Empowerment.
  • Maintain compliance with training, employee health standards, and facility policies.
What You'll Gain

  • Impactful Work: See the direct impact of your care on residents' lives while contributing to a mission-driven organization.
  • Supportive Environment: Be part of a team that values diversity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care.
  • Growth Opportunities: Build a foundation for your future career in respiratory therapy through meaningful work and professional development.
We're Looking For
  • A Kentucky-certified Respiratory Therapy Student (limited mandatory certification).
  • CPR/Basic Life Support certified (training provided if needed).
  • Someone with a passion for working with diverse populations and a strong desire to learn.
  • A critical thinker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A dedicated individual who thrives in a team-oriented, trauma-informed environment.
Physical & Safety Requirements
  • Ability to move, lift, or assist up to 65 lbs safely.
  • Comfortable with standing for prolonged periods and occasional exposure to healthcare-related risks (e.g., bloodborne pathogens).

Ready to Take the Next Step? If you're enthusiastic about delivering top-notch respiratory care and making a difference, we want to hear from you! Join us in creating a brighter, healthier future for the children at Home of the Innocents.
