Retail Store Associate (Beauty Advisor)
Join the K-Beauty Club - we're hiring passionate team members!
Location: Ontario Mills Outlet - Ontario, CA
Position Type: Part-Time
Compensation
Pay range: $17 - $20.00 per hour (DOE)
Compensation is determined based on relevant education, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and business needs.
Additional compensation opportunities may include performance-based incentives where applicable and in accordance with company policy and wage and hour laws.
Schedule
Store Hours
  • Mon-Thu: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Fri-Sat: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Sun: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Opening shifts may begin approximately 30-60 minutes before store opening, and closing shifts may end approximately 30-60 minutes after store closing.
Final schedules will be determined by store management based on business needs.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Position Summary
The Beauty Advisor (Retail Store Associate) serves as a key point of contact for customers and plays an essential role in delivering a positive and engaging shopping experience. This position focuses on customer service, product knowledge, and supporting store operations.
Employment is at-will, and duties and responsibilities may change based on business needs.
Job Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide attentive, courteous service throughout the shopping experience
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products based on individual preferences
  • Provide accurate product information, including usage, benefits, and ingredients
  • Inform customers of current promotions, events, and loyalty programs
  • Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Package purchases neatly and provide gift wrapping upon request
  • Assist with merchandising, restocking, visual displays, and maintaining store cleanliness
  • Support inventory counts and other operational tasks as needed
  • Maintain situational awareness on the sales floor to support store safety and loss prevention
  • Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives, including in-store promotions and social media support
  • Continuously develop and maintain up-to-date product knowledge
  • Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment
  • Contribute to overall store sales goals and performance metrics
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
Required
  • Candidates must be available for a minimum of two weekday morning shifts each week
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • A background check may be conducted after a conditional offer of employment, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of retail experience (beauty industry experience preferred)
  • Bilingual ability in any language, especially Korean, is a plus but not required
