Position Summary

Beauty 21 Cosmetics is seeking an experienced Brand Marketing Manager with a strong background in the beauty or cosmetics industry to lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing initiatives across retail, digital, social, trade marketing, and product launches.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how to bring products to market through a true 360° Go-to-Market (GTM) approach—from product positioning and creative development through retailer execution, influencer support, merchandising, launch campaigns, education, events, and post-launch analysis.


The ideal candidate has successfully worked with national beauty retailers such as Ulta Beauty, CVS, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, or international distribution partners and understands the unique requirements of retailer marketing, merchandising, promotional calendars, PDP content, and omnichannel execution.

This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Creative, Sales, Social Media, Digital, International Sales, Operations, and external partners to ensure every product launch is executed with excellence while maintaining brand consistency across every consumer touchpoint.


Key Responsibilities


Brand Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy

· Lead the planning and execution of integrated 360° marketing campaigns supporting new product launches, seasonal collections, retailer exclusives, and evergreen programs.

· Develop comprehensive Go-to-Market strategies that include product positioning, messaging, creative asset development, retail merchandising, retailer marketing support, social media, influencer marketing, PR, digital content, education, and events.

· Ensure every campaign delivers consistent consumer experience across all channels.

· Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Retail & Trade Marketing

· Partner with Sales to support major retail accounts and retailer-specific marketing initiatives.

· Lead development of retail sell sheets, display graphics, endcaps, PDQs, counter displays, merchandising assets, retail education materials, and product launch presentations.

· Understand retailer timelines, artwork requirements, promotional calendars, and launch milestones.

· Support retailer meetings with compelling presentations and marketing recommendations.

· Collaborate with key retail partners to develop retailer-specific marketing initiatives, promotional programs, merchandising solutions, and shopper marketing opportunities.

Product Launch Management

· Own the marketing timeline for new product launches from concept through market release.

· Coordinate cross-functional launch meetings to ensure all deliverables remain on schedule.

· Manage production of photography, video, packaging support materials, product copy, digital assets, and promotional materials.

· Track launch readiness and proactively identify project risks.


Brand Management

· Protect and strengthen brand identity across every consumer touchpoint.

· Ensure all marketing collateral aligns with established brand standards.

· Maintain consistency across packaging, retail, digital, social, PR, events, and trade marketing.

· Help evolve brand guidelines and governance processes.


Creative Development

· Collaborate with Creative, Product Development, and Social teams to develop compelling marketing assets.

· Provide creative direction on photography, video, merchandising, and promotional materials.

· Review creative for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.


Cross-Functional Leadership

· Serve as the primary marketing liaison among Sales, Product Development, Creative, Social Media, International Sales, and Operations.

· Drive alignment across departments while managing multiple concurrent product launches.

· Mentor and guide junior marketing team members while helping establish best practices, processes, and organizational discipline across the marketing department.


Marketing Operations

· Improve marketing workflows, project management processes, approvals, version control, and asset management.

· Help establish scalable SOPs and governance that improve team efficiency and maintain a single source of truth.

· Monitor project timelines and ensure on-time delivery of marketing assets.

· Manage marketing budgets and track ROI across assigned campaigns and launch initiatives.


Performance & Insights

· Measure campaign performance across retail, digital, and social channels.

· Analyze launch performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

· Present post-launch recaps and recommendations to leadership.


Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

· 5+ years of brand marketing experience within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, personal care, or CPG industry.

· Demonstrated experience managing 360° product launches from concept through retail execution.

· Experience supporting major retail partners such as Ulta Beauty, CVS, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Amazon, or specialty beauty retailers.

· Strong understanding of retail merchandising, promotional calendars, and trade marketing.

· Experience managing multiple complex marketing projects simultaneously.

· Excellent project management and organizational skills.

· Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms such as ClickUp, Asana, or Monday.com.


Preferred Qualifications

· Beauty industry experience is strongly preferred.

· Experience supporting international markets.

· Familiarity with product photography and video production workflows.

· Experience working with influencers, PR agencies, and content creators.

· Understanding of digital marketing, SEO, social media, and eCommerce content.

· Experience developing retailer marketing materials, merchandising programs, and launch toolkits.
