Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in CIO Digital Innovation as a part of technology. In this role, you will focus on:

Application Development

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, and WPF.

  • Develop reusable components, business services, APIs, and user interface modules.

  • Perform code reviews and enforce engineering standards, security requirements, and coding best practices.

  • Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Technical Leadership

  • Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance to development team members.

  • Drive application modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction efforts.

  • Support architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards.

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on development practices and engineering excellence.

CI/CD & DevOps

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, deployment, testing, and release processes.

  • Partner with DevOps and infrastructure teams to improve deployment automation and software delivery efficiency.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements including stability, security, scalability, and resiliency


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core

  • 3+ years of experience developing WPF desktop applications, including MVVM, data binding, and UI architecture

  • 3+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications

  • 2+ years of experience with MongoDB, including schema design, performance optimization, and application integration

  • 1+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, EPLX, Harness, or similar DevOps platforms

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, secure coding practices, and automated testing

  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs

  • Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native engineering practices

  • Experience modernizing large-scale or legacy .NET/WPF applications

  • Familiarity with distributed systems and integration patterns

  • Experience with SQL Server, database design, scripting, stored procedures, and performance tuning

  • Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipeline implementation

  • Experience with Windows desktop deployment technologies

  • Experience with enterprise document management, workflow applications

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments

  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity
