Job Description Junior UX Designer Location: San Antonio, TX Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite Duration: Contract Pay Rate: $35-$37/hr Position Overview: We are seeking a Junior UX Designer to join a collaborative digital product team focused on creating intuitive, accessible, and user-centered experiences. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career designer with a degree in User Experience (UX), Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. The Junior UX Designer will partner with researchers, product owners, developers, and senior designers to help design digital experiences that meet both user needs and business objectives.

This role offers hands-on experience throughout the design process, including research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and design iteration. Responsibilities Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, development, research, and business stakeholders.

Assist in conducting user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions. Translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive design solutions. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into iterative improvements.

Support the creation and maintenance of design systems and reusable UI components. Ensure designs align with accessibility, usability, and responsive design best practices. Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to project teams.

Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to identify opportunities for experience improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. Portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects, academic work, internships, personal projects, or capstone projects.

Understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies. Familiarity with wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design concepts. Strong visual design, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications Internship, freelance, or project-based UX/UI design experience. Exposure to usability testing, user research, journey mapping, and information architecture.

Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards. Experience working in Agile environments. Knowledge of design systems and component-based design approaches.
