As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Loan Processor to support our processing team and help drive efficient loan closings.


Position Overview

The Junior Loan Processor plays a key support role in the mortgage process by assisting senior processors and loan officers in gathering documentation, reviewing loan files, and ensuring all information is complete and compliant prior to underwriting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in mortgage operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, etc.)
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of loan applications and supporting files
  • Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, and third parties to obtain missing documents
  • Update loan files in the Loan Origination System (LOS)
  • Assist in ordering third-party services (appraisals, title, insurance, etc.)
  • Monitor file progress and ensure deadlines and conditions are met
  • Prepare files for submission to underwriting
  • Review conditions and assist with clearing items for loan approval
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements


Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of mortgage, banking, or financial services experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of mortgage loan products is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with LOS systems (Encompass or similar) is helpful but not required
