Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 / year

Job Overview

SCM, Inc. is seeking a high-performing MEP Superintendent to manage our mechanical-focused construction teams. You will oversee field operations, supervise crews, and enforce rigorous safety and quality standards on commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety & QA/QC: Enforce site safety protocols (OSHA) and implement project-specific quality control inspections and testing.

  • Resource Management: Perform material take-offs, schedule deliveries, and forecast manpower needs based on project timelines.

  • Reporting: Track and report daily progress, labor hours, per diem, and equipment usage to the project management team.

  • Training: Operate and train employees on heavy equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, aerial lifts).

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in the construction field; 5+ years in a Superintendent position.

  • Certifications: OSHA 30 (Minimum). Trade licenses in Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Rigging are highly desirable.

  • Technical Skills: Expert at reading blueprints/sketches and interpreting construction plans.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction, or an equivalent combination of field experience and training.

  • Languages: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

  • Mobility: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work at heights (30'+).

Working Environment

  • Field-First: Regularly works on active sites with exposure to moving equipment, heights, and outdoor weather.

  • Pace: Standard 8-hour shifts, with flexibility for extended hours or weekends depending on project demands.

  • Physicality: Requires physical stamina for heavy labor and site safety setup (fall protection, etc.).
