Job description

The Junior Business Systems Developer is responsible for supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the company's internal business systems and software solutions. Working under the guidance of the Automation Engineer, this role will assist in developing custom applications, automating business processes, and configuring commercial software platforms such as NetSuite CPQ. The position works closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and IT to identify opportunities for process improvement through software development, system configuration, and automation. Responsibilities include developing JavaScript customizations within NetSuite, creating standalone applications and integrations using C#, and developing Autodesk Inventor iLogic (VBA) solutions to improve engineering and manufacturing workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal business applications and automation tools.
  • Configure and maintain NetSuite CPQ by creating and updating questions, answers, layouts, fields, rules, and other configuration elements.
  • Develop and maintain JavaScript-based customizations and automation within NetSuite and NetSuite CPQ.
  • Develop C# applications and integrations between NetSuite and other business systems, including Autodesk Inventor and manufacturing software.
  • Develop and maintain Autodesk Inventor iLogic (VBA) scripts to automate engineering and drafting processes.
  • Troubleshoot software issues, investigate bugs, and implement corrective solutions under the direction of senior team members.
  • Assist in gathering requirements from internal departments and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Participate in testing, documentation, and deployment of new software features and system enhancements.
  • Maintain and improve existing software solutions to increase reliability, efficiency, and usability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, scripts, and system configurations.
  • Support users by investigating application issues and assisting with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Automation Engineer.

Requirements
