In this role, you'll build and enhance the technology that powers payment experiences for K-12 schools, helping clients streamline operations, improve reliability and deliver better outcomes for the communities they serve. What you'll own
  • Design and deliver scalable web applications and application programming interfaces (APIs) that enable secure, reliable payment experiences for K-12 clients while supporting long-term product growth and platform performance.
  • Drive software quality and engineering excellence by building maintainable, well-tested solutions that improve system stability, accelerate delivery and reduce operational risk.
  • Influence technical decisions and development standards by identifying opportunities for improvement, sharing expertise and helping elevate code quality across the team.
  • Own the successful delivery of enterprise-ready solutions from concept through production, ensuring business requirements are translated into measurable outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
  • Strengthen product performance and client satisfaction through proactive troubleshooting, continuous improvement and the resolution of complex technical challenges that impact business success.

What you'll bring
  • 5+ years of experience developing Java-based software solutions, with demonstrated success delivering scalable, production-grade applications in enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems, diagnose issues effectively and deliver high-quality solutions that balance business needs with technical excellence.
  • Experience collaborating within Agile Scrum teams, contributing to shared goals while taking ownership of individual outcomes and deliverables.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across engineering, quality assurance and business teams.

It's a bonus if you have
  • Experience developing single-page applications using Angular or similar frameworks.
  • Experience working with MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases to support scalable application architectures.
  • Experience writing automated unit tests using the Spock Framework and working extensively with JSON-based integrations.
