Why Join Supernova?

At Supernova Technology, we believe that the best results come from a team that is passionate, driven, and supported in all aspects of their professional lives. Here, you’ll work alongside talented and innovative individuals who are committed to driving the future of securities-based lending technology. We foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and growth, where each person’s contributions make a real impact.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about leading and developing talented engineers while driving the delivery of high‑quality, scalable software. You’ll manage a team of full‑stack and backend engineers, foster technical excellence, and collaborate cross‑functionally to bring innovative products to life. This role also requires strong data engineering and operational ownership capabilities, including maintaining production stability, managing ETL workflows, and partnering directly with clients to deliver end‑to‑end technical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with product management, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high‑quality software on time and within scope.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable applications and APIs built primarily in Java and Python.
  • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/data integration pipelines to support internal and client‑facing data platforms.
  • Support, mentor, and develop junior software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure engineering best practices across code quality, testing, security, and deployment.
  • Drive sprint planning, resource allocation, and performance reviews for your team.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, architecture discussions, and long‑term planning.
  • Champion the use of modern DevOps tools, including Docker, to support efficient development and deployment.
  • Take operational ownership of systems and services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and implementing both short‑term fixes and long‑term improvements to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Identify process improvements to optimize team productivity and software quality.
  • Work directly with clients to gather requirements, propose technical solutions, manage project execution, and oversee delivery from design through deployment and post‑release support.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and independently drive projects to successful completion.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software development experience and 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proficiency in Java and strong working experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data pipeline development.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience managing software projects in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, secure coding practices, and production operations.
  • Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and maintaining highly available production environments.
  • Ability to independently manage projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and client communication.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, client‑facing, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Experience managing full stack teams (frontend + backend) preferred.
  • Background in fintech, enterprise SaaS, or other regulated technology environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure preferred.
Our Employee Benefits

At Supernova Technology, we provide a robust benefits package to support the health and well‑being of our employees. Our offerings include:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Multiple plans with coverage for employees and dependents.
