POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving internal applications and data transfer processes. The Application Developer will work closely with the IT team to write, test, and troubleshoot code, with a primary focus on data integration.

Beyond core maintenance, we are actively looking to modernize our operations. A key component of this role involves Business Process Modernization — Investigating our current processes and identifying creative ways to streamline and improve them. We value innovation and are looking for someone with a natural curiosity and interest in utilizing modern technologies, including AI tools, to drive development efficiency and process improvement.

Training Provided:

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in C# and MS-SQL and is eager to learn. We will provide dedicated internal training to help this person master our vendor e-commerce platform (Holbi), our data integration tool (Boomi), and our legacy systems (AS400).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Integration & API Support: Assist in maintaining and building C# API calls to transfer databack and forth between internal systems and our Holbi website.
  • Process Modernization: Investigate current data workflows and systems to identify bottlenecks; contribute creative solutions for Business Process Modernization (BPM).
  • Technology Exploration: Safely explore and leverage modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding practices, to optimize efficiency and improve software quality.
  • Database Maintenance: Write and optimize MS-SQL queries and procedures to support seamless data flow.
  • Application Development: Code, test, and debug software applications based on technical specifications. 
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, investigate, and resolve issues in existing software and data pipelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for program logic, coding, and testing updates.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education/Experience: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent technical training/certifications. 1-3 years of hands-on development experience is preferred (entry-level candidates with strong project portfolios will be considered).
  • Core Technical Skills:
    • Solid foundational knowledge of C# and object-oriented programming.
    • Proficiency in MS-SQL (querying, basic database design).
  • Pluses / Nice-to-Haves:
    • Any experience with the AS400 platform.
    • Familiarity with the Holbi e-commerce vendor platform.
    • Experience with Dell Boomi or similar iPaaS/data transfer tools.
  • Soft Skills & Mindset:
