Job Description:
Become a key leader in the digital future at a long-standing, values-driven company in Lincoln, NE, deeply rooted in the Midwest. This organization is looking for a visionary Senior Software Developer to lead the technical direction and oversee the design, development, and maintenance of their critical cloud-based applications. This role requires extensive experience with modern full-stack development, including .NET (C#), Java, and SQL, alongside proficiency in OOP, design patterns, and clean code principles. You will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions, collaborating across teams, and mentoring junior developers. Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Guidewire ClaimsCenter or Guidewire BillingCenter.
  • Architect scalable technical solutions that support ongoing modernization initiatives.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and fellow developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Customize and configure Guidewire applications, including business rules, workflows, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using APIs, messaging, and other enterprise integration patterns.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers through technical coaching, code reviews, and design discussions.
  • Promote software engineering best practices including clean code, performance optimization, and secure development.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and recommend long-term improvements.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions that support the organization's long-term Guidewire roadmap.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hands-on Guidewire ClaimsCenter or Guidewire BillingCenter development experience is required.
  • 5+ years of Guidewire development experience
  • Guidewire ACE certification strongly preferred
  • Strong experience with Guidewire configuration, integrations, workflows, business rules, and customization.
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of C#, Java, Gosu, SQL, or related technologies supporting the Guidewire ecosystem.
  • Experience designing enterprise software solutions and participating in architectural discussions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor teammates and collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to lead technical discussions and recommend solutions.
