Job description

HGA is currently hiring for a Junior Project Manager to support client operations in Rayville, Louisiana. The role purpose is to support the Project Manager/Director by coordinating day to day project management activities (schedule, cost, risk, reporting, change), ensuring new team members integrate quickly and core owner processes and procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate onboarding and integration of new team members, ensuring understanding of project scope, contract type, schedule, budget, procedures, and systems
  • Organize and track onboarding plans, training schedules, and competency development
  • Support maintenance of the integrated master schedule and track EPC progress updates
  • Identify and report performance or productivity gaps against schedule expectations
  • Maintain and update risk registers, issue logs, and mitigation tracking
  • Prepare inputs for leadership reviews, GO&R sessions, and project status meetings
  • Compile and distribute daily and weekly reports across safety, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and issues
  • Support development of monthly project reports and owner dashboard updates
  • Assist in routing and tracking change notices, change orders, and field invoices
  • Monitor scope, cost, and schedule impacts prior to change approvals
  • Maintain action item logs, meeting minutes, and follow-ups to drive accountability
Required Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of experience in project coordination, project controls, or construction management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting scheduling, reporting, and risk tracking processes
  • Familiarity with project execution plans (PEPs) and project management procedures
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams including project management, field teams, and contractors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Technology
  • Experience working on large-scale industrial or construction projects
  • Familiarity with owner-side project coordination processes
  • Exposure to schedule and cost control tools and systems
  • Proven ability to support reporting for senior leadership and project stakeholders
