Zantech is looking for a talented RPA/ML Solutions Architect to contribute to the success of our upcoming Applied and Emerging Technology Support project for a Hybrid role based out of Camp Springs, MD.
The RPA/ML Solutions Architect leads the design and implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, enhance decision-making capabilities, and improve operational efficiency within DevSecOps workflows, technical governance processes, testing, and other areas of demand. This role identifies automation opportunities across USCIS operations and architects end-to-end automation solutions.
Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
RPA Strategy & Solution Architecture
  • Identify opportunities for RPA across OIT operations, SDLC tasks, and business processes
  • Design end-to-end RPA solutions including bot design, orchestration, and exception handling
  • Architect scalable, maintainable RPA frameworks using industry best practices

RPA Implementation & Development Leadership
  • Lead RPA Engineers in developing attended and unattended automation bots
  • Design workflow automation for repetitive DevSecOps tasks
  • Implement low-code/no-code automation for technical governance and compliance processes

Machine Learning Solutions Architecture
  • Identify ML/AI use cases within DevSecOps workflows, testing, and operations
  • Design ML pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring
  • Implement ML models for anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and intelligent decision support

Intelligent Automation Integration
  • Integrate RPA solutions with USCIS enterprise systems and tools
  • Combine RPA and ML to create intelligent automation solutions
  • Leverage AI/ML APIs for enhanced automation capabilities (AWS SageMaker

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
Experience:
  • 8+ years of software engineering or solutions architecture experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on RPA development and architecture experience
  • 3+ years of machine learning or AI implementation experience
  • 2+ years of federal government environment experience preferred

Technical Skills (Required):
  • Expert: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Microsoft Power Automate
  • Proficient: Python ML libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy)
  • Proficient: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
  • Proficient: AWS SageMaker, Comprehend, Textract
  • Programming: Python (expert), VB.NET, C#, PowerShell

Preferred Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
USCIS-Specific Experience (Highly Desired):
  • Understanding of immigration systems workflows and automation opportunities
  • Familiarity with multilingual data processing automation (USCIS supports 15+ languages)

Required Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Certifications (Recommended)
    • RPA Platform Advanced Developer certification from UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or Microsoft Power Automate
    • AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty (desired)
