Job description

Summary of Job Description:

The Risk Compliance Analyst investigates basic to moderate level of claims, including Worker’s Compensation and other product lines. This position conducts presentations on general risk issues to Operations and conducts store site inspections on safety issues. The Risk Compliance Analyst analyzes claims trends to identify broader issues and recommends solutions. This position also serves as the centralized support person to assist the Senior Safety Manager in CO₂ safety and hazardous-material compliance, and the position supports safety, Worker’s Compensation, training, and regulatory compliance programs across store locations.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Investigates basic to moderate level of claims, including Worker’s Compensation and other product lines. Achieves key metrics in alignment with risk finance objectives. Administers industrial accommodation compliance and engages with injured associates.
  • Works closely with other team members in supporting the creation of risk and safety programs, training materials, and presentations to Operations. Administers compliance for environmental health and safety programs. Demonstrates ability to enroll Operations and SC departments to elevate risk management standards.
  • Conducts presentations and store site inspections on safety issues. Engages in interactive process with injured associates. Attends regional meetings and enrolls Operations compliance for safety programs. 
  • Gathers data for responses to OSHA inquiries. Collects pertinent evidence for claims files. Runs ad hoc reports for Risk department leaders.
  • Works closely with Operations on risk management techniques. Develops relationships with Operations and actively contributes to mitigating risk at the store level. Contributes to safety compliance, exposure savings, reduction of claims frequency and severity.
  • Gathers data, investigates, and audits for CO₂ safety and hazardous-material compliance and governmental inquiries. Tracks and responds to CO₂, hazardous-material, fire/life safety, environmental, OSHA, and permitting regulatory requirements. Supports CERS/HMBP documentation and related compliance tracking.
  • Conducts audits and readiness evaluations for new and existing stores. Oversees findings, violations, corrective actions, and follow-up documentation. Performs root-cause analysis for safety and compliance incidents to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinates with CUPA, fire marshals, local agencies, and other regulators. Engages with CO₂ monitoring vendors and installations, and leverages SmartStore/IOT, monitoring data to support prevention and corrective action.

Your background & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience; experience with CO₂ compliance, hazardous-material compliance, environmental health and safety, or regulatory coordination preferred
  • OSHA certification preferred
  • If hired, successful completion of annual store training
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.


Pay Range: P2: $72,500-$101,500/ per year

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
