We are looking for a Compliance Analyst III to join the Risk & Compliance team in an administrative/analyst level position. The Risk & Compliance department of Open Bank is seeking a Compliance Analyst III to join the team in an administrative/analyst level position. Position and salary commensurate with skills and/or experience.

This is a hybrid position (Office days – Tues, Thur, Friday & Remote – Mon, Wed) in the greater Los Angeles, California area. Regular office attendance is required at the headquarters office, located in downtown Los Angeles, CA at least 3 days a week during bank operating hours.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, motivated and a quick learner. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for administrative duties within the Risk & Compliance Department and assisting the Compliance Officer IV as directed. This includes administrative support of online compliance training platform, policy management platform, conducting brand monitoring, and performing data validations and reviews. If you possess excellent research analytical skills, attention to detail, seek growth opportunity, and have a desire to increase your skills and knowledge in banking compliance, this may be the position for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform compliance administration and governance activities, including support for Risk and CRA activities, and Regulation B monitoring of non-originated applications.
  • Maintain and understand the Bank’s online compliance training platform, including assigning courses, uploading content, monitoring completion status, responding to inquiries, and producing management reports.
  • Perform brand monitoring review, tracking and responding to consumers.
  • Assist with end-to-end coordination of risk meetings, including pre-meeting preparation, in-meeting support, and post-meeting follow-up.
  • Perform compliance data validations and reviews for compliance with regulations and laws.
  • Support branches and departments by performing basic compliance research and communicating regulatory requirements.
  • Support development or updating compliance training materials.
  • Remain current on regulatory developments, industry trends, and compliance best practices, and assist in updating compliance procedures and forms accordingly.
  • Finalize and upload approved Bank policies, procedures, and compliance-related forms to applicable monitoring system(s) or Bank intranet.
  • Create or assist in the drafting of new or revised compliance procedures, and forms as needed.
  • Assist in gathering documents and preparing for audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Team to meet team goals and facilitate a professional working environment within the group.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience but not required.
  • Minimum three-years’ experience in banking, compliance, or other related fields required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to research and retain a broad knowledge of information to develop and prepare reports.
  • Good analytical skills include the ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote and small team environment.
