Advanced Volumetric Alliance (AVA) is a volumetric off-site building manufacturer that creates entire buildings in a factory environment. We are focused on multi-family living, senior living, and hospitality development sectors. AVA develops and manufactures industry-leading full volumetric modular units for the multi-family apartment and hospitality industries in the Upper-Midwest in a 180,000 ft2 state of the art facility in Albertville, Minnesota.

Job Description:

The REVIT Technician is expected to have well rounded modeling experience relating to commercial and residential construction with a strong focus on structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing related shops and production drawings. The primary focus of this team member and the engineering team in general is to translate designs, modeled in REVIT, into production ready drawings that can be used by the Production team to build modular products in a factory environment.

This team member will work with other members of AVA’s Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Team in the documentation of projects for production. and may also be tasked to lead an individual project as such situations arise. Familiarity with State code will benefit this team member. Products will be constructed fully or in part in AVA facilities and the REVIT Technician will play a critical role in helping to clearly communicate the design and help to confirm specifications are achieved by both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with and complete general modeling utilizing REVIT.

  • Develop Production level drawings and Bill of Material (BOM) takeoffs for Residential and Commercial projects to support Production

  • Timely completion of documentation to support Production, and Engineering schedules

  • Help guide the allocation of Engineering resources to assure accurate and timely completion of product documentation

  • Maintain effective document control, including Cloud-based document management and access, as per department standards

  • Assist in model coordination with external consultants, Architects, Engineers, and suppliers as needed

  • Participate in the development of departmental standards, templates, and modeling standards

  • Follow modeling standards, and department procedures to ensure consistency

  • General administration of document control process

  • Mentoring of junior level team members and/or interns to assure accurate consistent work.

  • Provide support to the Production Floor as requested

  • Other duties as assigned by department leadership
